GARDEN GIRL IN THE MEDIA
I’ve been incredibly fortunate to have my work and love of gardening recognised in various publications. I’ve been contributing to national magazine Garden News Over The Fence every month, tracking the development of our garden, for twenty years. Most recently, I have started writing for Elysium Lifestyle magazine. Whether it’s discussing design tips, or the joy of connecting with nature, I’m always excited to contribute to the conversation about all things gardening.
I’m deeply thankful to have had the chance to share my story and insights, and I hope they encourage others to see their gardens as a source of beauty, peace, and endless potential.
Being featured in the media has been such fun and I’m feeling very flattered that our garden has been shown on TV on three separate occasions!
Through our links with the London Gardens Society, we were privileged to receive a visit from its Patron, Prince Edward, The Duke of Edinburgh, in June 2026. Having won Best Small Back Garden five times, our garden was chosen to be part of his annual tour. What an honour!

FILMING LOVE YOUR GARDEN
When I was invited to contribute to Love Your Garden, it felt like a dream come true. Working alongside such a talented team to transform outdoor spaces was a truly inspiring experience. Seeing the joy on people’s faces when their gardens were unveiled was a reminder of just how powerful these spaces can be, not just as beautiful landscapes but as places of healing, connection, and happiness.
Filming was such fun! Redesigning our Catio into a feline friendly outdoor space involved a certain amount of interaction with our six cats: I can completely concur with the saying, Never work with children or animals! Gardens often have their own little surprises, and when you’re racing against the clock with cameras rolling, every detail counts! It was fascinating to watch the process unfold, from the initial design discussions to the last plant going into the ground. I was so impressed by the creativity and dedication of everyone involved, and I couldn’t help but pinch myself as I realised I was part of it all.
Being part of a project that celebrates the transformative magic of gardens was incredibly rewarding. It reminded me why I fell in love with gardening in the first place—because it’s not just about plants; it’s about people, too. Gardens bring us closer to nature, to ourselves, and to one another. I’m so grateful to have been able to share my passion on such a fantastic platform, and I’ll always treasure the memories of those days spent creating something truly special.
